Ah! So sorry! Life around the prison is busy, and with all of those prison arts and crafts sessions, can’t keep on top of these things all the time! Ho Ho Ho! But I’m sure my readers understand, whoever they are. I’m sure many can’t help but eavesdrop into the life of an imprisoned police chief. I can think of a few people who could be taking notes. I'd take tabs on myself if I were them! The cell arrangements have changed, and sadly, I can no longer call old Freddy a neighbor. His life must be so dull, without me to call company. What will happen to our late-night card games? The practices with the jailhouse band? Our bonding in the mess hall? Ah, the mess hall bonding can still occur. Let’s do breakfast, Freddy! Ho ho ho!!! I now find myself in the delightful company of the younger inmates. Of particular interest is the boy in the biker outfit just across the way from my cell. I’m a little concerned about him – Matthew, I think, is his name, the good fellow! – he says the most interesting things in his sleep. I’ve been watching him in the mornings, giving him a friendly ‘Hello!’ and a wave as he gets up. Sadly, he seems reluctant to start a friendship with me. He will come around sooner or later. On a different note, according to my wall calendar, the season of love is coming upon us! I have a late resolution! I think it’s about time I let the water flow under the bridge. I’m going to take advantage of the birds and the bees flitting around the air and do something special. Splendid! But for now, my plan will remain a secret. Can’t have the cat out of the bag yet. That will be left for another day. |
